The Redlake Tram line runs from the base of Western beacon at Bittaford to Red Lake on the moors. Redlake is a disused China clay works where work started in 1910 and ceased in 1933, along the tram line is evidence of industrial heritage and stunning views of the South Moor and beyond. At the end is Redlake which consists of a ruined building, Lakes and a spoil heap. The complete walk is about 16 miles there and back but can be shortened by starting it at Harford instead of Bittaford.
