Hier am neuen Deichaufgang in Norddeich sind verschiedene frühere Sturmfluten blau markiert: 1976 waren es 4,20m über NN, 1906 und 1962 waren es mehr als 4,80m über NN. Der neue Deich wurde signifikant auf 7,80m erhöht, um besser auf künftige Sturmfluten vorbereitet zu sein.
At Norddeich coast there are several storm floods marked (blue markers): in 1976 the storm flood was 4,20m above sea level, 1906 and 1962 it was more than 4,80m above sea level. The new dike was increased to 7,80m height to prevent this in future.
