Kandel liegt am Nordrand des Bienwaldes mit seinen vielen Rad- und Wanderwegen, nur wenige Kilometer von der französischen Grenze entfernt.
Kandel hat einen Kategorie-5-Bahnhof mit zwei Gleisen. Das angrenzende Bahnhofsgebäude von 1864 im klassizistischen Stil steht unter Denkmalschutz.
Kandel is a town in the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated near the border with France, approx. 18 km north-west of Karlsruhe. Near the tourist info there is the category 5 railway station with two rail tracks. The station building is in neoclassicism style and was classified as cultural heritage.
