Fort Worth Stockyards

The Texas Trail of Fame website (see link) has a depiction of Mr. Ryan, as well as this short biography:

Nolan Ryan is an icon of Texas lore. He is closely associated with ranching in Texas, and has served on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. Nolan Ryan is regarded as one of the most important representatives of Texas traditions. Currently the president of the Texas Rangers Baseball Team, he played for four major league teams, including the Rangers. As a pitcher, he threw balls recorded at more than 100 mph, giving him a nickname "The Ryan Express". He holds, and is tied for, several major league records as a pitcher. He is undoubtedly one of the major sports figures of Texas, having been involved with baseball interests in several Texas cities.

Note: He is no longer President of the Texas Rangers, instead, working for the Houston Astros. Nolan Ryan's beef products are sold in Kroger stores throughout Texas.
