"Founded in 1913 Berkshire Volunteer Fire Company and Emergency Squad serves the town of Berkshire, NY and provides mutual aid to surrounding communities when requested...the present station was built in 2013...The Berkshire Fire Department's Fire Police respond not only to fires but to traffic accidents, downed wires and trees, and floods. The police also assist at parades and respond with mutual aid to other Towns."
