"The Library was organized in 1920 as a local community effort and received New York State charter as a non-profit educational institution in 1926.
Located at the corner of NYS Rt. 38 and Jewett Hill Road, the building is one of the older homes in Berkshire, dating back to the 1820's.
The Library is presently a member of the Finger Lakes Library System.
The Library operates the Berkshire History Museum"
