This little sculpture of a bear is situated at the Southernmost tip of the Oberland of Helgoland. It is mounted on a pedestal with the inscription: Berlin 456 KM, indicating the distance to Berlin.
The bear statue was erected during the cold war and many German cities had a Berlin Bear with the distance to Berlin written on it.
The sculpture is 88 cm high and weighs 33 Kilos.
