The original service of the South Central that became the Lehigh Valley went through Flemingville
from Town of Owego by Emma M. Sedore "The Southern Central Railroad came through Flemingville in 1869 and was later conveyed to the Lehigh Valley Railroad, which built a train station there in 1902... The station finally closed in 1935... In the 1970s James G. Mead operated Tioga Central Railway Excursions and a railroad memorabilia museum."
