This is one of the earliest pioneer cemeterys near the site of Blackmore's fort on the Clinch river.

There is not much left here of the headstones, the largest one has fallen over and is unreadable. The area is not fenced off to keep the cows out.

This may be known as the John Blackmore cemetery c1810, the John Brickey cemetery is just a few hundred yards East of here and now has a fence around it.
