The cemetery was in use as early as 1890 and features many beautiful headstones and fascinating stories. The Heritage Tours of Revelstoke’s Mountain View Cemetery are offered throughout the spring and summer and takes about one hour to one-and-a-half hours. The tour focuses on the history of the cemetery grounds, stories of Revelstoke’s pioneers, a fascinating piece of B.C. history involving Sir James Hector and two unsolved murders.
