Many campgrounds are rustic, but when you have young Kids, this is the place to have fun and be safe! Note: the fees vary as to type of campsite, so I put a bogus number in the cost variable.

"Welcome to Jellystone Park™ Larkspur
Jellystone Park™ Larkspur is a Yogi Bear™ themed, family-oriented, pet-friendly private RV park and campground. Located half-way between Denver and Colorado Springs (north of Monument and south of Castle Rock) we have easy access to the best Colorado has to offer! In addition to our many guest activities, our 100 acres are also home to one of the best disc golf courses in Colorado, the Colorado Pumpkin Patch, the Illumination Light Show, and the DreamAcres and CircleF8 Ranches.

Swimming

Our heated pool is open from 10 AM to 8 PM in the summer season. It is a great place to swim with a cabana and sunbathing areas.

Jumping Pillow

Fly into the sky on our jumping pillow! It’s a 30' x 60' inflated pillow of fun.

Ole Swimmin’ Hole

The recreation pond is an old irrigation pond used during the clay mine and farming days on our property. So it is a rustic, old-fashioned, watering hole. The adventurous can try out our slip ‘n slide, build sand castles on the beach, relax in the sun, or maybe come back at night and have a fire on the beach! In the winter, the swimming hole becomes a great skating pond!

Hiking

There are several miles of trails for outdoor fun at Jellystone Park™ Larkspur. Pick up a map at the Ranger Station. Bring a camera and turn your hike into a photo safari.

Disc Golf

Opens 3/1 – please see the disc golf page for more details
Jellystone Park™ is home to one of the best disc golf courses in Colorado. You can check out equipment at the Ranger Station and play our 18 fun holes. Click here for more course information or to see a map and scorecard.

Fishing

Our beginners fishing pond is a tiny pond designed for young children to catch their first fish. It has crappies and catfish in it. All fishing is catch and release. So bring your pole and bits of hot dog for bait and see what you can catch!

Pedal Cars

The pedal cars are great fun! Enjoy racing and zooming around our hilly track among the scrub oak.

Gem Mine

The gem mining sluice is located on the south side of the Ranger Station. For a small price you can buy a bag of mine tailings and try to hit the motherlode!

Playground

In addition to two play structures, there is a gaga ball pit, a sand area and spider web to play on.

Basketball & Volleyball

There is a basketball court and a sand volleyball court by the playground. There is also a small-sized basketball hoop, too. Equipment can be checked out from the Ranger Station.

Horseshoes

The horseshoe pit is located by the upper pavilion. Equipment can be checked out from the Ranger Station.

Pancakes!

Every day from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and on weekends at other times, we serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for $3.50. It’s a great way to enjoy a campground meal without doing dishes!

Dino Dig Fossil Sand Box

The Dino Dig Fossil Sand Box is a great play for little ones to dig in the sand and discovered buried fossils.

Geocaching

There are five private geocache sites on the campground. Rent one of our GPS’s or use your own to find them. Geocoordinates can be picked up at the Ranger Station.

Boo Boo’s Game Room

The Boo Boo™ Game Room is located inside a train box car. There are a variety of video games, air hockey, and a coin changer for your convenience.

Clay Working

One of the original pioneer uses of this land was as a clay mine. Even today, clay can be found and fashioned into adobe bricks or figurines.

Ways to Play: Ranger-Led Activities

Our rangers are ready to make your visit great with all kinds of ways to play at Jellystone Park™. Be sure to check the schedule to see what’s going on during your stay!

Sunday is a quiet day at Jellystone Park™. Monday – Thursday have activities scheduled at regular intervals throughout the day. On Friday & Saturday there is more going on than you can possibly do! Come back again and again to enjoy the same fun or something different each time.

Coloring, cutting and gluing are great fun when Yogi Bear™ is involved. Our crafts are designed to be both fun and educational for our little ones! Some crafts do have a materials fee.
