It is owned by the City of Sarnia and operated by Scottsdale Aviation Inc. Currently, the only scheduled passenger service is through Air Canada who flies the 55 minute route to the airline's Toronto hub and back four times per day. The planes are 18 seat Beechcraft 1900Ds.
The airport is also used by personal aircraft and business jets. Sarnia is an important industrial city and gateway to Michigan. It's economy has traditionally been centred around a large chemical manufacturing and distribution sector.
