Billedhugger Bent Sørensen har skabt to skulpturer til Vestkajen ved Hobro Havn. Skulpturen Ringen består af groft tilhugget granit, der er formet til en ring. Værket fungerer med sit hul som sigtepunkt ud mod havnen.
Bent Sørensen har arbejdet i mange forskellige materialer som jern, stål, sten og bronze. Hans særlige interesseområde var den monumentale skulptur, hvor flere materialetyper blev sammensat. Skulpturen på Hobro Havn markerer sig tydeligt ved en kontant tilstedeværelse i rummet.
The sculptor Bent Sørensen has created two sculptures for the West Quayside at Hobro harbor. The sculpture Ringen consists of roughly chipped granite, shaped to a ring. The sculpture operates with its hole as a focal point towards the harbor.
Bent Sørensen has worked in many different materials such as iron, steel, stone and bronze. His speciallity was the monumental sculpture in which several types of materials were composed.
