"In 1914, the Missouri Valley Bridge and Iron Company secured the contract to construct a bridge across the Colorado River west of Glenwood Springs in order to replace the existing ferry service. Completed in 1915, the bridge’s pin-connected, ten-panel steel Pennsylvania through truss was considered unusual for vehicular bridge use." (from (visit link) )
