There are three companion monument, one if North Grafton, Grafton Center and this one located in South Grafton, also known as Fisherville. It is a smooth granite egg-shaped boulder with a brongze plaque. The plague is embossed with an eagle.

In the early 1920's the town voted to "erect a suitable monument in each precinct in memory of World Wat veterans" The monument commemorates the men of Grafton who fell in the First World War.

Inscription reads:

In memory of the Grafton Boys who made the supreme sacrifice in the World War.
