The three story Polish National Home was designed by architect Henry F. Ludorf in the Art Deco style and constructed in 1930 at a cost of $175,000. The rectangular building rests on a concrete foundation. It features a central entrance enclosed in an aluminium and glass. The doors are framed by highly abstract pilasters, capitals, and a pediment. Above the door, a white Polish eagle is set upon a stylized shield with a crest above. The casement windows of the second and third floors are separated by five polychromed terra cotta spandrels with Art Deco ornamentation. On the second and third floors of the front of the building, the windows on either side of the rectangular central windows are octagonal ans multi-paned. On the street side the second floor has long rectangular windows and the third floor has a row of octagonal windows. The top of the building at the roof-line has inscribed POLISH NATIONAL HOME inscribed in raised capital letters.

The Polish National Home opened on October 12, 1930. It functions as a community center for various Polish societies in the Hartford area.
