Saint Agnes Catholic Church - Wentworth, MO - Country Churches on Waymarking.com

It is unusual to see a catholic church in the country in this mostly protestant area; and the ones you do see are usually in some larger town. But here is a brick catholic church out in rural Newton County between Wentworth and Diamond.

Adjoining the church is the Saint Agnes Churchyard Cemetery. According to the plaque on the building, the parish was established in 1870 and this building was "rebuilt" in 1949.
