The church occupies a prominent hill side position overlooking the National Trust village of Rockley. It was designed by architect Edward Gell who also designed the nearby Anglican church. It has been in continuous use since being built in 1870.
It is in near original state with the exception of the roof where the wooden shingles have been replaced with asbestos cement shingles.
It is surrounded by open lawn & viewable from afar.
