from Town of Owego by Emma M. Sedore "The Souther Central Railroad came through Flemingville in 1869 and was later conveyed to the Lehigh Valley Railroad, which built a train station there in 1902... The station finally closed in 1935... In the 1970s James G. Mead operated Tioga Central Railway Excursions and a railroad memorabilia museum."
