Located on the southwest corner of 3rd Avenue and W. Main Street, this is a one-story brick bank building, which has been closed in and does not appear to be a retail business at this time. One single metal door leads inside.
The building is quite ornate and must have been a beauty in its day. The roof line has a stone balustrade across the front and side, with a large arched parapet constructed by rows of arched brick, with the date "1910". Just beneath the roof line is a row of corbelled brick. Along the side and front of the building are slightly projected pilasters (6 on side and one on front), which are capped by stone shields.
At the northeast corner of the building is a large column also topped with a shield which appears to have been at an original canted corner entrance. Today, the entrance and large windows have all been covered with a terrazo-type masonry.
It is difficult to tell whether the building is being used at this time - possibly for storage, as there is no signage or obvious retail entrance. In 1910, the town of Marietta had three banks. We could not determine the name of this bank.
