The panels are all of the same format. At the top is the coat-of-arms of Dartford beneath which is the wording "Dartford's Heritage Trail". Below that is the title of the area that the panel relates to with text and photos to provide information.
The "you are here" map is in the top left area of the information panel. The words "you are here" are on a yellow background beneath which is an Ordnance Survey type map of the surrounding area. Red dots indicate the locations of similar panels with the larger red dot being the location of the panel being viewed. A large hand with forefinger extended points to the "you are here" red dot. The map is orientated north-up.
