Located in the lobby of the Marietta Post Office, a WPA-constructed building dating to 1940, is a large mural, located above the door to the Postmaster’s office. This mural was sponsored by the WPA and part of their cultural program to put artists to work during the 1930’s and early 1940’s.
This mural is entitled “Chickasaw Family Making Pah Sho Fah.” It was painted by Solomon McCombs in 1942.
