The monument commemorating 1000 years of Polish cavalry was finished in year 1994. It is staying on the Pole Mokotowskie, communal park with a lot of open spaces for sunbathing and outdoor plays, one of the most popular resting place of Warsaw students (there are 2 universities nearby: SGH and PW).
The monument has the form of tall column, standing on a little elevation, with the bronze sculpture depicting 2 horse riders on the top. On the lower part of the column, there are 43 brass tables with the names of the most important battles in the history of Polish cavalry.
