The interior of the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington features the largest of 34 remaining Hilborne Roosevelt installed in front of the rose window on the west side of the church. The organ was donated to the newly constructed church in 1883 by Timothy Hopkins who commissioned Hilborne L. Roosevelt to construct the organ.


The organ contains five sections: Great, Swell, Choir, Echo and pedestal. The organ contains 3, 954 pipes. The case was designed by George A. Audsley. The wood is cherry, stained to imitate mahogany; pipes rough plastered and gilded.
