The Matterhorn Terminal Täsch is the central pivotal point for buses and automobiles. In Täsch, they must be parked before guests continue the journey to Zermatt comfortably in the shuttle train.
Zermatt is car-free. Therefore one either travels directly to the centre of Zermatt by train from Täsch in 12 minutes. Or by automobile to Täsch (5 km from Zermatt) and get in the train from there (departures every 20 min.) for the onward journey to the Matterhorn village.
