The building is in a very poor state of repair with the verandah ready to collapse. The entire building once housed a butchery based on what can be seen. On the left hand side we can see the business is on Don Street & can make out the word - Butchers but not the proprietor's name. On the right hand side can be seen the words Fresh Meat Daily, a registration & phone number. Automatic Telephone Dialing was introduced to Australia in 1976 so the business closed before then.
