text: "Sgt. Peters, while serving as squad leader of company "M" 3D battalion, 5th marines, 1st marine division (REIN) was killed in action during Operation Swift. Quang Tin Province, Republic of Vietnam. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor Posthumously for his conspicuous gallantry at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty and by his outstanding spirit and tenacious determination in the face of overwhelming odds. He gallantly gave his life for his country."
