Formally trained stonemason, self-taught as a sculptor. Knud Erik Christensen worked a great deal with abstract, non-figurative sculpture during the 1970s, but in the 1980s began a more organic style based on vegetation-inspired forms, where volume, texture and line are crucial.

This sculpture is made in granite and named "Dråben", the droplet.
