The map is located where the Cottonwood Trail can be accessed from the Elm Trail. This access to the Cottonwood Trail requires crossing the Assiniboine River, so it is only accessible in the winter when the river is frozen. The Elm Trail (and this map) are accessible from the main park entrance year round.
