This grain elevator served the F.P. Nielson and Sons mill in Mesa, Arizona. The elevator and mill speaks to Mesa's past as an agricultural community. Built in 1938 to serve the miles of grain fields to the south, the structure was last used in 1975. The fields of grain are now houses. The elevators are 100 feet tall and still stand above the Mesa historical district. F.P. Nielson sold the site in 1969 to a grain broker who continued operations until 1975.
