The Oregon Trunk Railroad Trestle was constructed in 1915 across the Deschutes River to connect the Shevlin-Hixon Lumber Mill to the Oregon Trunk Railroad's mainline. The trestle was 880 feet long and 35 feet above the river. The trestle was removed in 1991.
