Tilted Landscape is a map of the Tempe area looking north from the location of the structure in front of the Tempe City library. The piece explores the social topography of the area over the time of human habitation. The Salt River crosses the top of the piece and various geological and social structures are portrayed moving toward the bottom of the piece. It uses Arizona flagstone and copper. It originally included a water feature filling a moat around the piece but suffered a major leak. Water is no longer a feature. The artist is Carl F.K. Cheng and the piece was installed in 1994.
