It is a marble obelisk on a stepped base with a laurel wreath and rifle engraved into the memorial. Names of those who served are listed 8 by 8 on the front.
A path leads to it from the front gate & behind are the leafy surrounds of the park. On either side to the front are the World War I & Boer War memorials.
