This appears to be a genuine post box and was likely brought to Bergen, Norway, when the Irish Pub was opened. Obviously the box is no longer in use for postal purposes, given its location in Norway, but it is a nice addition to the outside of the pub.
This looks like a modern Carron Engineering of Scotland box usually found with EIIR on. The E and II have been ground off and replaced with V. There are over 50,000 EIIR boxes in use. This appears to be just a façade screwed on. The maker reads Carron Company Stirlingshire.
