The Mercer Area Library shares space with the Mercer Borough Offices and is in the county seat of Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The library also has a plethora of events as well as a active Youth Group and Friends of the Library Group.

To obtain a library card, come to the library with valid identification (checkbook, driver’s license, utility bill, etc.) that has your current residential address.

Library cards are free to the residents of the Mercer borough and these townships:

Findley
Jefferson
East Lackawannock
Coolspring
Jackson
Delaware
Fredonia Borough

Take care to park in one of the parking spaces marked "Library Parking."

The Library shares a parking lot with Mercer Borough, and any vehicle parked in a space not marked "Library parking" will be charged a $2 per day public parking fee. However, free parking is available on side streets around the library.
