This lovely "gate/ arch" is a surprise at the entrance to the cave. It marks a waterfall.

Many elements of a Japanese garden are present, views, water, flowers if one is there early. Bleeding hearts, miner's lettuce, and dogwood. The gate doesn't look too old. What is unique is that someone cared enough to build it at the bottom of a winding half mile trail.
The cave is at the end of a nine mile mostly one lane road. Separate admission is charged for the Park and for entrance to the cave which can only be accessed from mid May until Sept.
Type: Gateway

Subtype: Other

Location: Crystal Cave trail
