This sandstone cross can be found in the agricultural zone west of Hofstetten at the road to Mariastein.

The cross is almost 2.5 meters high, this is a bit smaller than most other wayside crosses in the area. It does not have a statue of Jesus, but flower ornaments at the arms of the cross and a collar ornament with the letters IHS in the center.

It is dated 1688, this is quite a bit older than the average crosses here; they are often from the early to mid-19th century.
