This station is a U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey triangulation disk, located in Berlin, MD. It is set in a concrete post to the immediate north of U.S. Route 50, in between the roadway and a small island of small trees and tall grass. The mark is flush with the ground, and positioned as described:
RECOVERY NOTE BY MARYLAND DOT HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION 1991 THE MARK IS LOCATED ABOUT 5.5 MI (8.9 KM) WEST OF OCEAN CITY, 2.7 MI (4.3 KM) NORTHEAST OF BERLIN AND ON ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY. TO REACH FROM THE INTERSECTION OF U.S. HIGHWAYS 50 AND 113 NEAR BERLIN, GO EAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 50 FOR 3.05 KM (1.90 MI) TO THE MARK ON THE LEFT. IT IS 30.4 M (99.7 FT) WEST-SOUTHWEST OF A 0.7 FT (0.2 M) OAK TREE, 27.3 M (89.6 FT) EAST-NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF A FIELD ENTRANCE, 16.1 M (52.8 FT) NORTH-NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE WESTBOUND LANES OF THE HIGHWAY, 10.9 M (35.8 FT) EAST OF POWERLINE POLE NUMBER 58889-92414, 10.7 M (35.1 FT) EAST OF A CARSONITE WITNESS POST AND SET IN THE TOP OF A 1.0 FT (0.3 M) ROUND CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE GROUND.
