Ford's Theater, is of course, the site of Lincoln's assassination. It is now a Museum and operated by the National Park Service. One can visit for free daily 8:15 am – 5:00 pm.
This larger than life bust of America's 16th President depicts him as a middle-aged man with a beard with a pensive appearance. The accompanying placard indicates that the artist, Carl Torpo, worked on the piece for two decades. The placard is dated 1965.
