MA-1-21 is a Survey Marker monumented by the Maine Department of Transportation in 1988. It is embedded in the base of a war memorial on the east side of Highway 1 at the Highway 192 junction, just south of the river.

Though the witness sign referenced below no longer exists (it would have been a nuisance when mowing), the flagpole and the Blue Star Memorial sign remain in place, though it has been moved from the southwest to the northwest of the marker and is now closer to it. It is now in the vicinity of the extinct witness sign.

To reach from the Bad Little Falls Park and the bridge over the Machias River, go Southerly along U.S. Rte 1 for 0.16 km (0.10 mi) to the station on the left.

The station is a standard disk stamped - MA-1-21 1988 -, set in a drill hole in the concrete base of a war memorial in the Northern corner of the grass traffic island at the jct. of Rte 192 and Rte 1. It is 13.7 m (45.0 ft) Northeast of Blue Star Memorial Highway sign; 12.8 m (42.0 ft) East-Southeast of Rte 1 centerline; 8.5 m (28.0 ft) Southeast of a metal witness sign; 1.0 m (3.3 ft) Northwest of a flagpole.
