St Patrick's was a outgrowth of the Catholic Church in Uxbridge, when Reverebd EH Sheridan began traveling to Whitinsville as a mission. In the mid 1800's the residents of Whitinsville traveled to St Mary's in Uxbridge. The congregation grew so large, it was decided a separate church would be established. In 1868 a parcel of land was purchased and the first church was built. In 1898 the first church was moved to another parcel of land to make way for the current day church, which was dedicated on ay 15, 1898.
