This church, though not terribly big, is nonetheless the best candidate in Sandy Point for a spire benchmark. The church stands on the west side of Highway 1 and marks the social, if not the actual, centre of the community.

STATION DESCRIPTION
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 (KGC)
STATION RECOVERED. THE CHURCH HAS A TALL WHITE SPIRE AND HAS
REMAINED UNCHANGED SINCE IT WAS CONSTRUCTED ACCORDING TO
H.M. GRIFFIN, AGED LOCAL RESIDENT.
THE PUBLISHED AZIMUTH TO IT FROM STATION LITTLE BALL WAS
CHECKED BY THE 1934 OBSERVATIONS FROM THAT STATION. IT IS THE
ONLY CHURCH IN THE SETTLEMENT AT THIS TIME.
STATION RECOVERY (1944)
RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1944 (FLP)
STATION RECOVERED. ACCORDING TO LOCAL INFORMATION FROM AN AGED
LIFETIME RESIDENT OF THE COMMUNITY, SPIRE ONCE BLEW OFF BUT
WAS PUT BACK IN THE SAME PLACE. IT LEANS SLIGHTLY TO THE W,
BUT IT IS THE SAME SPIRE THAT WAS THERE IN 1862.
