There are two white wood framed churches along Main Street in Brunswick, both of whose spires have been designated as benchmarks. This is the Universalist Church, on the north side of the street and a bit east of the other, the First Parish Church.

BALL ATOP THE 130 FOOT TALL, WHITE WOODEN, SPIRE ATOP THE
CENTRAL UNIVERSAL CHURCH.  LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF YARMOUTH ON
MAIN STREET 0.2 MILES FROM THE JUNCTION OF MAIN STREET AND
U.S. ROUTE 1 OVERPASS.
