This beacon is located in The Island Nature Reserve just outside Port Elizabeth. Depending on fitness levels it might take 5 hours or longer.

The Bushbuck trail will take you right past this beacon. The circular trail is about 16km long. For the most part you walk under the tree canopy and it is fairly flat most of the way. Don't underestimate the distance though. At the beacon you can climb up and get some stunning views. Absolutely worth the effort.
The entrance to the reserve is at S 33° 59.191 E 025° 22.108. A small fee of R20 is payable to get into the reserve. There is also great picnic spots under trees at the entrance area.
This one you should visit for the experience and ticking the beacon is just a bonus.

Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
