This monument is dedicated to the
113th Ohio Infantry Regiment and is in recognition of their service during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863.
It marks their location on Sunday 20, 1863 from about 2:00 P. M. until sundown. The commander of the regiment was Col. Darius B. Warner. There is only one monument to the 113th Ohio Infantry Regiment on the battlefield.
To reach this monument:
From the parking area on Snodgrass Hill, head west pass the monuments on the hilltop. A trail will continue to the west near the 87th Indiana and the 2nd Minnesota monuments. Follow this path until you reach a clearing.

This position was gained by assault about 2:00 P. M. and held against all attacks until the Army retired at sundown.

Short Physical Description
12' polished granite obelisk on 6'8" square rock-faced base. Pedestal features acorn carved in relief; shaft has raised lettering front and bronze tablet rear, set off by moldings of bundled fasces.
