Fred John Collins It is with great sorrow that the family of Fred John Collins of Crossfield announce his peaceful passing at his home on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at the age of 88 years, after a long illness that was faced with courage, dignity and faith.

Fred leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Veronica (Mason) of sixty-two years; his children, Eugene (Fleurette) Collins of Calgary, Joanne (Gordon) Bussey of Airdrie, Larry Collins of Calgary and Patricia (Doug) Grisbrook of Brooks. He was predeceased by a son Cyril Collins and a granddaughter Barbara Bussey. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Fred is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Knowles of Calgary and Mary Moore of Cranbrook, B.C.

He lived his entire life in Crossfield with the exception of the time he spent overseas and in the Aleutians during World War II. Fred brightened the lives of many with his jovial wit and laughter. He loved his work which gave him an opportunity to spend time with his farmer friends.
