This small pocket park is located at Main and Johnston Streets. The park contains public restrooms, a gazebo, benches, and landscaping. It's a really nice place to stop and rest while shopping along Main Street. The park is named for Audrey Thompson, who was instrumental in getting buildings in Hardy named to the National Register. The text on the Marker reads:

Dedicated in honor of
Audrey Thompson, Ph.D., Hardy Historian
and Life Long Resident
The Historic Preservation of Hardy is
Dr. Thompson's legacy for the future.
Due to his tireless efforts, Hardy has
over 35 sites listed on the National
Historic Register.
His preservation efforts have given
coming generations an opportunity for
an appreciation and understanding of
the past and a place in the future.
