The memorial is made of white marble and covers an area of about 25' X 20'. The work for the memorial was commissioned to Hutchins and French. The memorial lists the names of the local citizens killed in WWI and list the battles of WWI on the front. On the rear of the monument lists those who served in WWI. The inscription reads "Erected in Grateful Remembrance of the Soldiers and Sailors of Uxbridge who served with the United States or Her Allies during the World War. "

The monument consists of a raised marble terrace with marble benches and urns at each corner. Flanking each side of the tablet are bronze casting of weapons. There is a bronze eagle that tops the memorial. On the terrace floor is a bronze disk, "The Great War for Civilization".
