First version of the sculpture was created in 1922 of wood (it's located on National Museum in Warsaw).
In 1923, 2 brass sculptures were created, one is here, the second in Poznan.
On 7th December 1929, the sculpture was officially exposed on current location by the president of Warsaw, Zygmunt Slonimski.
