The Snake Valley District War Memorial originally commemorated those from the district who served in World War One. The memorial is situated on a three-stepped foundation and takes the form of a shrine, with the female figure of peace enclosed in a niche. A marble tablet on each outside are inscribed with the names of local soldiers. The memorial now has four pillars added around the centrepiece, which remembers soldiers from World War II and later conflicts.
